Vijayawada: The National Lok Adalat will be held on September 9 in the state and all the stakeholders are requested to settle their cases amicably, according to a statement released on Tuesday.
AP State Legal Services Authority member secretary M. Babitha in a release mentioned that the people could avail the Lok Adalat for settlement of pending criminal compoundable cases, cheque bounce cases, family disputes, property
disputes, bank recovery cases, money suits, promote cases and pre-litigation cases.
Babitha said that the Lok Adalat award was final, no appeal would be allowed, and the court fee paid to the pending civil cases in the courts was refundable if such cases were settled before Lok Adalat. She said no fee is required for settlement of cases in Lok Adalat.
