Old City will be IT hub if BJP is voted to power: Bandi Sanjay
Hyderabad: BJP state president Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Monday said that major IT companies would be brought to the Old City from the current hub at Hitec City and Gachibowli if the BJP is voted to power in the state.
He said it was for the people to decide whether they wished to have a development-oriented party like BJP or a divisive force like the MIM to head the next government.
Addressing a press conference at Bapu Ghat in Langar Houz, Sanjay slammed Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao for neglecting construction of double bedroom houses. In the same vein he said that Rao should implement the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana as it would help poor and homeless people in the state to realise a long-cherished dream.
The Karimnagar MP sought Rao to come clear on the number of double bedroom houses that have been built and allotted in the state. He pointed out that during a meeting of the urban development committee, which even he had attended, the principal secretary was on record officially that only 8,000 double bedroom houses had been constructed in urban areas.
The BJP leader recalled that the Union government had sanctioned 2,03,080 houses in the jurisdiction of municipalities and another 1.4 lakh houses exclusively in GHMC limits. The Narendra Modi government has released Rs 3,500 crore for the purpose and the state government has already utilised Rs 2,300 crore from that amount.
Sanjay pointed out that the Centre had also sanctioned and released Rs 1,287 crore to GHMC for implementation of various welfare programmes.
He wondered why Rao was averse to implementing Central schemes like Ayusman Bharat Yojana, which would be beneficial to the poor.
Sanjay alleged that Rao had visited a private corporate hospital for his treatment but was advising people to go to government hospitals knowing fully well that there was a shortage of staff, including doctors, in almost every government hospital.
