Karimnagar: The ensuing Huzurabad byelection will present a golden opportunity to the people to teach a fitting lesson to Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao and thereby mark the beginning of the end of family rule in Telangana, observed BJP leader G. Vivek Venkatswamy in Huzurabad on Monday.
Speaking to media persons along with former legislator Enugu Ravinder Reddy, Vivek said that it has become a routine with the TRS government prior to any elections to release G.Os meant to hoodwink the people as they are neither implemented nor available online once elections are over.
He said that it is only after having suffered electoral jolts in Dubbaka and GHMC that Rao is coming out of his farm house. Following the exit of Etala Rajendar, he has appointed SC officials in the CMO and has been raising Jai Bheem slogans.
It was with an eye on Huzurabad by-elections that he has introduced Dalit Bandhu scheme, the former MP said. He influenced dalit voters with promises of three acres of land and making a dalit as the state’s first chief minister only to go back on his word.
Vivek alleged that even after the formation of Telangana State, the living conditions have remained as bad as it was in undivided Andhra Pradesh.
By not issuing notification to fill up posts that are vacant in various government departments, the Chief Minister has been playing with the lives of unemployed youth, he said. The state government has even cheated employees in the name of PRC, he said.
