Telangana man held for abusive posts against Jagan Mohan Reddy

A senior police official said that every person had the right to post their comments on social media platform.

VIJAYAWADA: A security guard Naveen Kumar Goud of Telangana state has been arrested by Cybercrime police and cases under several IT sections like Sec 67, IT Act-2000, Sec 153-A, and Sec 505 (2) have been registered against him for posting obscene, abusive and defamatory posts on his FaceBook page against Chief Minister, Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy.

Basing on that, cyber crimes of CID, AP registered a case on a security guard, Naveen Kumar Goud, a native of Chityala village, Gopalpet mandal, Wanaparthi district, Telangana. He is the resident of Kallakal village, Manoharabad in Medak district, Telangana.

He was apprehended and on interrogation, he revealed that he created a FB account in the name of Naveen Kumar Goud from which he used to post abusive posts against YSRC leaders. His wife has committed suicide in 2013 for which a case was registered against him. Subsequently, he was arrested on April 06, 2013. Police arrested Naveen under and sent him to judicial custody on Thursday.

A senior police official said that every person had the right to post their comments on social media platform. But it should not be obscene in nature. It should never infringe upon the individual freedom of an individual.
