Hyderabad: Dalit Research Scholars in Osmania University on Thursday staged a hunger strike in front of the Arts College for not releasing Rajiv Gandhi National Fellowship (RGNF).
Research scholar Dudapaka Naresh said, “Since the last three years, RGNF scholarship has not been released only for SC students, while other similar scholarships for STs, OBCs and minorities were being released. We demand release of all pending scholarships.”
Research scholars also demanded same rule in terms of National Eligibility Test (NET) qualification for SC,ST and OBC students and said that they would take the matter to the national level if their demands were not met.
