Hyderabad: In view of the funeral procession of Nandamuri HariKrishna, deputy commissioner of police Cyberabad issued a traffic advisory for Thursday.
The body will be taken to Mahaprasthanam at Jubilee Hills from his residence at Masab Tank via Mehdipatnam, Nanal Nagar X road, Tolichowki, Narayanamma College, Whisper valley T. Junction, right turn. The procession will commence at 2 pm and will reach Mahaprasthnam at 4 pm. The funeral will be completed by 6 pm.
Traffic officials had requested public to take alternative routes from 2 pm to 6 pm from Masab Tank to Mahaprasthanam, Jubilee Hills Road. Also, the public are advised to avoid Whisper Valley, Nyaya Vihar Road towards Film City, Jubilee Hills.
Meanwhile Additional commissioner of police issued a traffic advisory asking the commuters to avoid the stretch from NMDC — Mustafa Jewelers – SD Hospital – Mehdipatnam – Rethibowli – Nanal Nagar – Tolichowki Flyover – KFC – ARCHIAN Marbles – Shaikpet Nala – Bharath Petrol Pump – Oasis school – Whisper Valley Junction and take right turn at Masab Tank Junction to reach destination towards Gachibowli via 1/12 junction, Road No.1, Banjara Hills.

Due to the sudden demise of Nandamuri Harikrishna, the stretch from his home at Masab Tank to Banjara Hills was totally blocked due to VIP’s with fans visiting his residence to pay their last respects to Harikrishna.
There was choc-a-block traffic in areas surrounding Masab Tank like Banjara Hills, Lakdikapul and Mehdipatnam. Usually it takes 10 minutes to cross the stretch from Lakdikapul during non-peak hours and 20 minutes during peak hours. However commuters were stuck for hours from afternoon due to the VIPs visiting Harikrisha’s house.
