Hyderabad: Pet dogs on morning walk attack boy

As soon as Reddy crossed the duo, one of his pet dog came loose from the leash and started biting him.

Hyderabad: Two pet dogs pounced on a five-year-old boy walking with his father and injured him in Miyapur on Tuesday morning.

According to the police, Sushanth, a class I student, was walking with his father Yellamandiah, at about 8 am. Prabhudas Reddy was taking his dogs for a walk. Sub-inspector of police, Miyapur Raghu Ram said, “As soon as Reddy crossed the duo, one of his pet dog came loose from the leash and started biting him.

Soon the other dog came loose and started attacking the boy.”

Passersby immediately responded and rescued the boy and shifted him to a nearby private hospital. His condition is said to be stable and he escaped with minor injuries.

Based on a complaint by Sushanth's father, police have booked case on Prabhudas Reddy under Section 298 and 337 of IPC and an investigation is underway.
