Hyderabad: Venkat Rao, who was accompanying Harikrishna said, “The car would have been travelling at over 100 km speed when the accident happened. He (Harikrishna) looked back to take a water bottle and there was a slight curve ahead. I screamed to alert him about the curve and he pulled the steering to the right. But the car climbed the divider and was flung into the air and fell about 20 metres away on the other side of the road. Shivaji and I came out and searched for Harikrishna. He was thrown at a distance into a pit with a severe head injury.”
The other man, Shivaji said, “I only remember the car going towards the right and flying into the air. After it landed was when I came to my senses. Venkat Rao was also inside the car along with me, but Harikrishna fell outside. We were later told that our car also hit an oncoming car and one person in the car received injuries.” The car flew over 20-ft after hitting the median, says police
