Hyderabad: Cops get lead in Soni kidnapping
Hyderabad: In a latest development, in the case of kidnap of 21-year-old girl, E. Soni, from Hayathnagar, the suspect was seen at a village Nalgonda district located close to Andhra Pradesh border.
The suspect has reportedly extorted Rs 80,000 cash and three rings from the owner of a pesticide shop impersonating as a vigilance official.
While the efforts of the police were on with the information that the suspect, Ravi Shekar was seen in Kadapa district on Sunday, it came as a surprise to the police and seemed like he was throwing a challenge for them. At around 11 am on Monday, Ravi Shekar was seen walking into a pesticide shop at Kondrapol village in Damacharla, located on the borders of Guntur district of Andhra Pradesh. He entered the shop impersonating as a vigilance official to conduct checks and extorted Rs 80,000 cash from the owner of the shop, and also had taken three gold rings from him before fleeing. On verifying the footage of the CCTV cameras installed on the highway, Ravi was seen heading towards Guntur of AP.
The victim approached the police and lodged a complaint.
