ALAPPUZHA: A five-member team led by Netherland Ambassador to India Marten Van Den visited Kuttanad on Monday. The team acco-mpanied by district collector Dr. Adeela Abdu-lla visited places like Thanneermukkom and Thottapally where flood mitigation projects are underway.
The visit comes after recent visit by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan to Netherland. The Chief Minister had held discussions with Neth-erland authorities on technology exchange, fu-nd raising and flood mitigation techniques.
Following this, the Netherland team conducted a study on Kutta-nad and submitted repo-rt to Chief Minister. A detailed discussion on report will be held at Thiruvananthapuram with Chief Minister on Tuesday. The Netherl-and King is expected to make a visit to Kerala by October, said officials.
