Telangana: Tollywood began moving to AP before drugs bust, says Nara Lokesh

Mr Lokesh stated that the AP government had zero tolerance towards drugs or even ganja being sold in parts of north AP.

Hyderabad: AP minister Nara Lokesh said the Telugu film industry was looking to establish studios in AP. This has nothing to do with ongoing drug racket probe in Telangana state, the industry had been showing interest for three years, he said.

Replying to a query about talk in a few sections that the film industry was being targeted, he said that the SIT was conducting the probe and investigating officers would have further details.

“Earlier Telugu industry was based in Madras (Chennai). Then it moved to Hyderabad. With two Telugu states, the industry sees an opportunity to expand its horizons,” he said.
