Telangana: Swine flu claims one more
Hyderabad: A pregnant woman undergoing treatment at Gandhi Hospital died on Saturday morning. The 23-year-old woman was seven months pregnant and had been rushed to the hospital on July 27.
She was undergoing treatment but developed complications due to which her lungs failed, and she was kept on ventilator for a day, but her condition deteriorated.
This is the second death of a pregnant woman in July. From August 2016 to July 2017, 11,897 samples were tested out of which 1,571 were found to be positive. Total deaths during this period have now touched 25.
The state government has informed that homeopathy medicines are being made available as preventive measure and citizens can avail them at the government homeopathy centres.
With temperatures dipping in the state the virus has become active and those who are immune compromised have been asked to take precautions like avoiding crowded places, washing hands properly and maintaining proper cough etiquette.
