Jagan not playing caste politics, Roja hits out at Atchannnaidu

Roja alleged that DGP N. Sambasiva Rao was left as an incharge officer because he belonged to the Kapu community.

TIRUPATI: YSRC legislator R.K Roja slammed minister K. Atchannaidu for alleging that Opposition leader Y.S.Jagan Mohan Reddy was playing “caste politics.” Speaking to mediapersons at the Press Club here on Saturday, Ms Roja said, “Mr Atchennaidu should tell the same words to the Chief Minister who actually plays with castes. The Chief Minister has started corporations based on the castes. Mr. Chandrababu Naidu is the person who looks first into the caste of a person.”

She alleged that DGP N. Sambasiva Rao was left as an incharge officer because he belonged to the Kapu community. Mr Ajaya Kallam could not get an extension as Chief Secretary due to his caste, she claimed. She added “TD ministers fear defeat in the Nandyal byelection as the Election Commission has rejected the new voter list in which TD has added 15,000 fake voters. All ministers are campaigning for two months in Nandyal. Mr Naidu never visited Nandyal before the death of Bhuma Nagi Reddy. Now it has become compulsory to visit the town due to the byelection."

Speaking about the reported move to change service rules for government employees, Ms Roja questioned the Chief Minister for saying that 30 years of service was enough for state staff. “Mr Naidu is taking steps to change service rules. His views on retirement at 50 years should be applicable for him as he is now 67. He should recollect that he is in politics for 40 years.” She said that Mr Naidu had promised to create employment opportunities for the jobless. “Only the CM and his son received good jobs. No other person has found jobs. I wonder based on what performance Mr Lokesh became minister." She said the party would take up the cause of employees in the Assembly session.
