Make PM's visit memorable: K. Chandrasekhar Rao
Hyderabad: Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao on Friday directed officials to make fool-proof arrangements for the maiden visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to TS on August 7. Mr Chandrasekhar Rao reviewed the arrangements for the PM’s visit at his camp office. Chief Secretary Rajiv Sharma, Mission Bhagiratha vice-chairman Vemula Prashanth Reddy, Singareni Collieries CMD Sridhar, Medak collector Ronald Ross and senior officials from NTPC, FCIL and Railways were present .
Mr Chandrasekhar Rao informed officials that Union ministers M. Venkaiah Naidu, Piyush Goyal, Anant Kumar, Dharmendra Pradhan, Narendra Singh Tomar, Suresh Prabhu and Bandaru Dattatreya were expected to accompany the PM and asked them to make arrangements accordingly. The CM said that PM's tour will be confined only to Gajwel in Medak district, where he will launch Mission Bhagiratha, lay foundation for Manoharabad-Kothapalli railway line, Ramangundam fertiliser plant and the health university in Warangal.
He said the PM will also dedicate Singareni power plant in Jaipur in Adilabad district to the nation from Gajwel itself. Meanwhile, the much-awaited visit of the PM to Ramagundam town on August 7 appears to be cancelled due to time constraints. While the PM is scheduled to lay the foundation to stone for a new plant to be erected by NTPC-Ramagundam and for revival of Fertiliser Corporation of India's unit, he would do so via remote from Gajwel of Medak district where he is planned to unveil a pylon of Mission Bhagiratha.
