Manipur Chief Minister Biren Singh is likely to submit his resignation amid the ongoing violence in the state.
A senior official in the state said that Singh was likely to resign today.
Sources said that Singh has an appointment with Governor Anusuiya Uikey during which he might tender his resignation, owing responsibility to the unabated violence in the state.
There are reports that on Thursday, Singh received several calls from Delhi in which he was asked to put in his papers. The report also said that the Assembly is likely to be put in animated suspension.
