If there is one old age adage which will perfectly define the way the Karnataka government is functioning, it's 'Digging a well, when the house is on fire'.
At times when the cases are zooming in the city and state, the government machinery instead of taking stern measures to curb the spread has itself accepted that it's waiting for the SSLC exams to get over to clamp lockdown. It should be noted that the SSLC exams will only end on July 4 and till then going by the average Corona cases (more than 1,000 per day since Sunday) getting recorded, the state will have nearly 20,000 cases.
Karnataka state's Covid 19 war room had predicted that total Corona positive cases could touch 25,000 by August. But looking at the figures of Sunday and Monday's health bulletin issued by the Department of Health and Family Welfare, it could reach the figure by early July.
For the second time, the fresh Corona positive cases crossed 1,000 again and recorded 1105 cases. Bengaluru shared the major load with 738 fresh cases and 3 deaths.

Except Belagavi, Koppal and Chamrajnagar all the 27 districts reported atleast one case taking the total tally in the state to 14,295. Patients on the ICU are rising every day. It was 197 on Saturday, 243 on Sunday and stood at 268 by Monday evening. Bengaluru has the highest with 178 on the ICU.
