Hyderabad: Justice P.V. Sanjay Kumar, executive chairman of the TS Legal Services Authority (TSLSA), on said infrastructure for the effective implementation of the POSCO Act and Juvenile Justice (JJ) Act needed to be improved.
Justice Kumar asked the secretaries of the District Legal Services Authorities, chairpersons of Juvenile Justice Boards and child welfare committees to focus on the rehabilitation of children who are in conflict with the law.
Speaking at a consultation for effective implementation of the JJ Act. he said, “There is a need to have a consultation on the implementation of the POSCO Act and JJ Act to implement them properly. The is to redress the shortfalls.”
He said the state-level committees for the protection of child rights should be constituted to work effectively.
