Hyderabad: The High Court has stated that June 30 elections to the Telugu Film Producers Council for 2019-21 will be subject to its directions.
Justice A. Rajasheker Reddy stated this while issuing notice to the TS home department, election officer and producers Chadalawada Srini-vasa Rao, Y.V.S. Chowdary to respond to the petition field by Mr Ravichand Yalamanchi, producer.
Mr Yalamanchi stated that the election officer had invalidated his nomination for the post of treasurer for the polls. This was done in collusion with Mr Chowdary, who had proposed the petitioner as a contestant, and Mr Srinivasa Rao, who was left as the only candidate after the invalidation.
The election officer invalidated Mr Yalam-anchi’s nomination on the ground that his proposer (Mr Chowdary) had filed his nomination for the post. He then withdrew his papers, leaving only Mr Rao in the field.
