KOZHIKODE: CPM state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan defended the Chief Minister’s statement that there was no conspiracy in the case. Speaking to media on Thursday, Mr Kodiyeri said that the Chief Minister’s comment was as per the information he got at that juncture.
“The CM made that comment as per the information he received at that time. More details came out at a later stage,” Mr Kodiyeri said. Responding to the prolonged quizzing of actors Dileep and Nadirsha, he said that there is no specific time frame for questioning. “Police probe will take its own course. No external forces can intervene in the matter,” he said. He added that Kerala doesn’t have a cell rule like BJP ruled states.
The CPM leader didn’t budge to the demand of media when they pressed for answers. “Police probe is on. Let it conclude. Any opinions now can be interpreted as intervening in the inquiry,” he said.
