Thiruvananthapuram: Opposition Leader Ramesh Chennithala has reiterated his call for the ouster of Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. While talking to reporters at his official residence at Cantontment House, he said if Pinarayi had any obligation towards the people, he should resign. He added that Pinarayi did not have the right to be in power anymore.
Chennithala said the CM could not run away from owning the responsibility of the honour killing of 23-year-old youth Kevin P. Joseph. Chennithala participated in a candle night vigil at Martyr's Square in memory of those people who had lost their lives to police atrocities. He said Pinarayi cannot hold on to power without providing security to the people. “The major issue which the people of Kerala are facing is the way the law and order situation has been handled by an incompetent person.”
