Supreme Court retains person bond order
High Court had upheld petitions filed by doctors associations challenging a GO hiking the fee for PG medical courses.
HYDERABAD: A vacation bench of the Supreme Court expressed its disinclination to intervene an order passed by the High Court that allowed fresh PG medical students to furnish personal bonds for the 50 per cent balance fee for the second and third years.
Justice A.K. Sikri and Justice Deepak Gupta were dismissing a special leave petition filed by the Kamineni Academy of Medical Sciences challenging the order. The petitioner sought a bank guarantee. The High Court had upheld petitions filed by doctors associations challenging a GO hiking the fee for PG medical courses and directed students to pay 50 per cent of fee during the admission and furnish a personal bond for the balance.
