Bengaluru: The BJP has demanded the removal of Animal Husbandry Minister A. Manju from the cabinet for making 'derogatory remarks' against former Union Environment Minister Anil Madhav Dave, who died recently.
Addressing a press conference here on Monday, BJP spokespersons S. Suresh Kumar and Ashwathnarayana referred to Manju’s statement that Dave died due to the curse after signing an order banning the sale of cattle in markets. The BJP leaders described this statement as “absolutely insensitive, unimaginably cruel and unhesitatingly irresponsible.”
“It is insensitive and irresponsible on the part of Manju to politicise the death of Anil Dave. Manju has no moral right to continue in the ministry”, both leaders argued.
