Telangana Maoist party calls bandh on May 4

The attacks on Maoists increased after Prime Minister Modi's visit to Chhattisgarh state in the second week of April.

WARANGAL: The Maoist party Telangana state committee has called for a state bandh on May 4 protesting against the recent encounters in Chhattisgarh. They accused the state and central governments of going on a killing spree of Naxals in fake encounters.

Maoist party Telangana state committee secretary Jagan said in a statement released to local newsmen here, that the central government had launched Operation Samadhan’ with a target to eliminate the Maoist movement in the country by 2022.

The attacks on Maoists increased after Prime Minister Modi’s visit to Chhattisgarh state in the second week of April.

The recent encounter at Gadchiroli and Friday’s encounter at Vaipeta in Bijapur district where eight Naxals were killed and killing of three Naxals today at Sukma district were all part of the conspiracy of the government.
