TD meeting to highlight Modi's failed promises
TIRUPATI: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu will bring back into public limelight the way Prime Minister Narendra Modi allegedly failed to keep his election promises regarding special category status (SCS) and other issues that would benefit the state.
The government has chosen Taraka Rama stadium in Tirupati where a public meeting has been arranged on Monday. On several occasions in the recent past, TD leaders have been saying that they decided to hold the meeting at the stadium since it was here that the Prime Minister promised the state about the capital, SCS and other benefits for the state during an election campaign.
Authorities have made elaborate arrangements for the event where the TD leaders expect around 1.5 lakh people to gather for the meeting. The capacity of the stadium is less than 70,000.
Keeping in mind the number of people expected, there are huge screens being set up outside the stadium where some of the people can watch theproceedings.
As part of the meeting, video clips of Mr Modi’s speeches promising SCS will be run on the screen during the meeting.
