Hottest day recorded at Adilabad

Hyderabad's temperature recorded at 42°C was a departure of 2.9°C from the normal.

Hyderabad: The maximum temperature for the year was recorded across Telangana State with Adilabad touching the highest at 44.3°C with Nizamabad being a close second at 44°C. The lowest temperature recorded in the state was at Bhadrachalam at 39.4°C. Hyderabad’s temperature recorded at 42°C was a departure of 2.9°C from the normal temperature.

Although no warning has been issued for the state, the same temperature levels are expected to continue till May 1. Maximum temperatures is likely to be around 41°C to 44°C in some parts of Telangana.

The north-south wind discontinuity which runs from east Vidarbha to interior Tamil Nadu across TS is causing the temperature rise.

Rayalaseema will go through the same sweltering heat as the weather forecast states that a temperature rise up to 43°C can be expected till May 1.

Kurnool recorded the highest temperature in Andhra Pradesh at 42.6°C which was a departure of 1.9 from the usual temperature and Visakhapatnam recorded the lowest at 32.9°C.
