Bar, Bench of the Hyderabad High Court bid warm farewell to Justices Chandraiah, Rao

Justice Chandraiah served as a judge after being elevated to the post from the Bar.

Hyderabad: The Bar and Bench of the Hyderabad High Court on Friday bid a warm farewell to Justices G. Chandraiah and R. Kantha Rao on their retirement.

The legal fraternity, which assembled in the first court under the chair of Acting Chief Justice Dilip B. Bhosale, recalled the services of the two judges while bidding them farewell.

Justice Chandraiah served as a judge after being elevated to the post from the Bar. He enrolled as an advocate on November 6, 1980 and was elevated as Additional Judge of the AP High Court on May 26, 2005. He became a permanent judge on February 20, 2006.

Justice Kantha Rao too was born in an agriculture family in Balada village of Srikakulam district. He joined judicial service and was elevated to the post of High Court judge in April 2008.
