Kurnool: Jana Sena candidate and the Managing director of Nandi Group of companies Sajjal Sridhar Reddy questioned the credentials of TD Lok Sabha candidate Mandra Sivananda Reddy whom CM N. Chandrababu Naidu introduced as an IPS officer.

Contesting the claim, Mr Sridhar Reddy said there was no record to prove that Mandra Sivananda Reddy was an IPS officer as he was never conferred the title on him. Neither he was a direct recruitee through  Union Public Service Commission (UPSC).

He said the TD candidate’s alleged links with Naxalite-turned-extortionist  Nayeem in Telangana while he was serving as DSP in Nalgonda.

Narrating the way Mr Mandra was kicked out of service at the behest of the then CM Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy, he said that under threat from Rajasekhar Reddy, the resignation of Mandra was sought otherwise he would have run into serious problems of propriety,  Sreedhar Reddy said.
