Hyderabad: An engineering student from Hayathnagar was caught red-handed while filming a woman neighbour when she was taking a bath in her home.
The man, identified as Gangapuri Venkatesh, was booked for outraging the modesty of a woman and taken into custody by the Hayathnagar police on Friday.
On Friday morning, the victim, aged about 30, a resident of Munaganoor, was taking bath in her house when she noticed a man on the wall beside her house. She found that he was filming her on a mobile phone and raised an alarm.
The suspect tried to escape from the place but locals caught him and assaulted him before calling the local police.
Hayathnagar inspector K. Satish said Venkatesh, is a resident of Dwaraka-nagar in Munaganoor.
Based on the victim’s complaint, police registered a case against Venkatesh of outraging the modesty of a woman and took him into custody. The mobile phone was seized, and further investigation is on.
