Kollam: Girl was sexually exploited, says report
Kollam: A 12-year-old girl who was found dead at her house at Kulasekharapuram on Tuesday was a victim of unnatural sex, according to the doctor who conducted her autopsy at the Thiruvananthapuram MCH.'
The Karunagappally police took into custody three of her neighbours on Wednesday in connection with her death.
The girl had gone to her room on Monday night on the pretext of studying for her exam and locked the door from inside. As she did not come out of the room the next morning, her mother knocked at the door and got no response. Sensing trouble, she called the neighbours, who broke open the door to find her hanging from the grill of the window.
The body was in a sitting posture with a shawl tied around her neck and the grill. A forensic team from Kollam conducted an inquest in the presence of Kollam city police commissioner Satheesh Bino.
The girl was a seventh standard student of Kulasekharapuram Higher Secondary School. Her father is in the Army. The autopsy at the Thiruvananthapuram MCH revealed that the girl was sexually exploited. The police questioned her relatives and neighbours and held the two suspected to be involved in the crime.
