Ninnu Nammam Babu' campaign comes to close

n TD had launched Malli Meere Ravaali (You should come again) campaign, opposition YSRC is shouting out its Ninnu Nammam Babu .

Vijayawada: Both TD and YSRC had launched competitive campaigns centred around the Chief Minister and TD supremo Mr N. Chandrababu Naidu. Even as the ruling TD had launched “Malli Meere Ravaali” (You should come again) campaign, opposition YSRC is shouting out its “Ninnu Nammam Babu” (We don’t trust you Babu) campaign that will end on February 2.

Through this campaign, the YSRC, along with Indian-Political Action Committee (I-PAC) has launched a comprehensive campaign to highlight the biggest failures of Mr N. Chandrababu Naidu’s government. Some of the prominent unfulfilled promises include Special Category Status for Andhra Pradesh, DWCRA loan waiver, “Babu Vaste Job” (job for every household), free housing for poor, women’s safety, and loan waiver for farmers and women.

Prior to the 2014 elections, Mr Naidu had made nearly 600 promises, most of which have not been fulfilled till date, and this is the reason for people’s mistrust in Mr Chandrababu Naidu and his government, said an YSRC leader.

“Ninnu Nammam Babu” is a platform for the public to register their frustrations with Chandrababu Naidu and declare no confidence in his government. In order to take the message to as many people as possible, all 175 YSRC Assembly Constituency (AC)-coordinators have started visiting 20 villages each, in fully branded vehicles, and are conducting village-level meetings focusing on Chandrababu Naidu’s failures. In these meetings they are talking to people about their issues and grievances and trying to understand their frustration after being cheated by Chandrababu Naidu and his government,” added the YSRC leader.

Upon the completion of the meeting, the AC-coordinators with the permission of the residents of the village, are putting up 6 hoardings near the venue of the meetings. Each hoarding highlights one of the 6 key failures and the village’s declaration of “no confidence” in Chandrababu Naidu and his government.

In addition to this, all YSRC offices (head-office and 13 district offices) have been fully branded with the set of 6 hoardings. Throughout the duration of this campaign, over 5,000 cars with “Ninnu Nammam Babu” stickers on their rear windowpane have actively roamed all across the State.

“Apart from the on-field campaign, we have also provided a digital platform through the Ninnu Nammam Babu website (https://www.ninnunammambabu.com). People can register their grievances and issues and narrate how they felt cheated by Mr Naidu and his government. Through the website, people can also register grievances of others, whom they know and are suffering at the hands of the TD government. The registered will be asked to express their interest in discussing the issue with the leader of opposition.

, Mr Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy. The Ninnu Nammam Babu campaign will end on February 2, 2019", said a member of I-PAC that had partnered with YSRC.
