CHENNAI: Coinciding with the 68th anniversary of the founding of the Indian Republic on Thursday, a 'One Nation Conclave- 2017' was held here.
The conclave, attended by several eminent speakers and captains of industry, deliberated broadly on how society and social development "could accelerate nation building".
Some of the topics discussed at the conclave included 'Corporate Social Investments - Empowering the Future', which was moderated by Prof. A. Anantharaman, Professor of Management, Harvard Business School.
The panel focused on the importance of corporate social investment and the role of corporates in social development. The members in this panel included industry stalwarts like Ms. Mallika Srinivasan, Chairman and CEO, Tractors and Farm Equipment (TAFE), Mr. S Gurumurthy, , Mr N. Lakshmi Narayanan, Cognizant Technology Solutions, and Mr. A. Balasubramanian, CEO, Birla Sun Life Asset Management company.
Founded on the principles of "Unity, Equality and Transformation", the conclave was a rich source of exchanging ideas and the experiences of top leaders in their respective fields, making the event highly rewarding.
