Visakhapatnam: East Coast Railway general manager inspects facilities
Visakhapatnam: As a part of annual inspection East Coast Railway general manager, Rajiv Vishnoi, carried out inspection in the main line of Waltair division from Pundi to Visakhapatnam on Friday.
Divisional Railway Manager, Chandralekha Mukherjee accompanied during the inspection. The major thrust being given to passenger amenities, cleanliness, maintenance and safety.
Started with Naupada railway station inspection, he went to Railway colony, visited staff quarters, health unit and checked passenger amenities.
After Naupada railway station, he inspected the track in the mid section and interacted with the Gangmen there at the site. He also inspected a major bridge between Naupada – Kotabommali. Then he visited Urlam Railway station and inspected the railway colony.
Safety being the major concern he carried out inspection of manned level crossing between Urlam-Srikakulam. At Srikakulam he thoroughly checked health unit, OHE depot and station.
Continuing the inspection he visited Traction substation and yard at Ponduru.
Later, the GM inspected Vizianagaram Railway station. In the course of journey he examined 2degree curved track between Korukonda- Alamanda.
His next halt was at Kottavalasa railway station where he inspected railway station, relay room and he commissioned Track maintenance staff and Subordinate rest house.
Later, he inspected North Simhachalam station where he went to RRI cabin and commissioned dedicated GVMC water supply to railway colony. Then he reached Visakhapatnam Railway station where he conducted inspection at Crew lobby, Accident relief train, TTE rest house, coaching Running room, inaugurated clean my coach.com an online solution for cleanliness complaints and then checked Water vending machine on platform No.1 of Visakhapatnam Railway station.
