Hyderabad: Lack of clouds has been leading to a rise in daytime temperatures and dips in the night. Over the last two days there has been a rise in day temperatures by 2-3ºC.
On January 28, the maximum temperature recorded was 35.3ºC and the minimum was 17.9ºC.
On January 29 the maximum recorded was 33ºC and minimum was 17.3ºC, which experts term as a normal trend.
Mr N. Narasimha Rao, assistant meteorologist at the India Meteorological Department, Hyderabad, said, “Variations in day temperatures are normal within 2ºC to 3ºC. Dry weather is prevailing in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.”
He said the wind was blowing in a northeasterly-easterly direction and there was a change in cloud formation.
The forecast is mainly for clear skies and haze and fog during the morning hours. If there is no cloud formation there will be a rise in the maximum and fall in the minimum temperatures, Mr Narasimha Rao said.
“Because of less cloud coverage we are getting maximum temperatures of 35ºC.”
The forecast for Saturday is partly cloudy skies with possibilities of haze or mist in the morning. Maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 33 and 16ºC.
