GHMC conducts random checks for sanitation

The team saw construction debris dumped in many areas in Srinagar Colony.

Hyderabad: GHMC officials from health and sanitation and vigilance departments made random inspections at Serilingampally, Ameerpet, Srinagar and Yousufguda among others and levied fines on locals who had carelessly dumped construction debris in public spaces on Friday.

GHMC commissioner M. Dana Kishore led the inspections in Serilingampally along with zonal commissioner D. Harichandana.

The team saw construction debris dumped in many areas in Srinagar Colony. They ordered officials to remove the debris and penalise those who dumped it.

Challans worth up to Rs 25,000 were issued to owners of a few plots in Jubilee Hills following instructions from the zonal commissioners for damaging a recently laid BT road by continuous release of water.

There were many complaints that water was left to flow on the roads, which was inconveniencing commuters.
