Tarigonda temple to get a facelift

NELLORE: The historical temple of Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy at Tarigonda, about 100 km from Tirupati will soon get a facelift. TTD Trust Board chief Mr P. Sudhakar Yadav on Wednesday visited the temple and discussed about the improvements with the Archakas, officials and local villagers.

Later speaking on this occasion he said that as per their request a dormitory, new flooring, four halls to Kalyana Mandapam will be constructed soon at an estimated cost of Rs 2 crore.

He also said a decision will be taken after a discussion with Agama Pundits about the shifting of Kalyanakatta outside, along with the construction of Yagashala and Potu.

The chairman said, "Very soon a RO plant will be set up on the request of villagers. Regarding the introduction of new sevas in the temple, a decision will be taken after discussing with Tirupati JEO, Mr P. Bhaskar."

The chairman also visited Sri Pattabhi Ramalayam at Valmikipuram and instructed the engineering officials to take up the reconstruction of Dhwajasthambham. He also asked the temple authorities to set up a shoe rack outside the temple and build a small room for the sale of coconuts.

CE Mr Chandrasekhar Reddy, EE Mr Sivarama Krishna, DyEO Mr Dhananjeyulu and DE Electrical Mr Ravishankar Reddy were also present.
