Hyderabad: The leaders of People’s Front are responsible for fulfilling the promises made, said Common Minimum Programme Convenor M. Kodandaram. The leaders want to convey that the promises made by them will be surely fulfilled, unlike other governments.
Addressing the public meeting at Kosgi under Kodangal constituency on Wednesday, Mr Kodandaram said, “Vote for us and give us a chance by seeing our history. We are forming a committee and the said committee will make sure that those are implemented. Revanth Reddy will win with a huge majority in the constituency. As promised by the TRS government, they have not given water to Palamur district. Leaving the water on gravity and saying that the water will be brought back from Srisailam. When I enquired about it, the people themselves are saying that it is not possible. K. Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) is thinking that the people are fools and behaving as he wishes."
He added, “KCR is not eligible to continue as the Chief Minister. We have formed an alliance for the benefit of the public. If there is nothing wrong when we have united for Telangana then what is wrong being united for the public. KCR is spending his time in the farmhouse and I urge the people to vote for People’s Front and to send Mr KCR to farmhouse permanently.”
While Mr Revanth Reddy was seen cheerful as the crowd turned out huge at the Rahul Gandhi’s public meeting. Mr Revanth Reddy said that the Congress party will win the elections as Mr Rahul Gandhi campaigned in Kosgi, where 40 years ago in 1978 Indira Gandhi has campaigned and formed the government. He said, “I came in search of an address to Kodangal in 2009, as the party has given B-Form and asked me to contest from here. The people have blessed me and made me MLA at the time. The same was repeated in 2014. As I’m fighting against the corruption of the TRS government, they have booked over 39 cases against me, kept me in jail for 40 days. But, I have never feared for them, as I believed in you (people of Kodangal). I knew that you will bless me this time too. KCR said he will implement Naxalites agenda. I don’t know in which agenda of Naxalites they mentioned four government posts to the family members. The Congress will win the elections and will teach a lesson to Mr KCR."
Addressing the meeting, TS Pradesh Congress Committee president N. Uttam Kumar Reddy said, “Seeing the crowd in Kosgi, I can say that the Congress will sweep all the 14 seats in the erstwhile Mahabubnagar District. The Chief Minister has cheated the people of Telangana from last four-and-a-half years and again coming with the fake promises. He cheated the youth, farmers, minorities, SC, STs. The People’s front government will be formed on December 12. I urge all the people to support for the People’s front for the development of the state.”
