My Kerala to rebuild state

The inaugural function was presided by the Principal Godwin Samraj. College chairperson PP Karthik and others were present.

Kozhikode: The Malabar Christian College hosted the MY Kerala awareness campaign organised by the Kerala State Youth Commission. The campaign aims to create awareness among the youth of the state about the role they play in the reconstruction of the flood-affected Kerala. The function was inaugurated by A. Pradeep-kumar, MLA and magician Gopinath Muthukad was the chief guest.

The inaugural function was followed by a motivational magic show by Muthukad in which his chief motto was “WAT-CH” which is expanded as Words, Attention, Th-oughts, Confidence and Hard work. He explained the importance of each of the words through his magic show which got great appreciation from the students and teachers of the college.

His magic show subjected the importance of empowerment and upliftment of the youth towards rebuilding the state from the effects of the recent floods. He also spread messages of growing as responsible citizens and the ill-effects of usage of alcohol and drugs to the students. He added that it was the youth of Kerala who were the first to respond to the crisis and they played a vital role in the flood relief activities throughout the state.

Speaking to the youngsters he also said, “I’m the happiest person in the world because I aspired towards my passion of becoming a magician and I dreamed of becoming a magician, I live as a magician and I want to die as a magician.” The inaugural function was presided by the Principal Godwin Samraj. College chairperson PP Karthik and others were present.
