Hyderabad: The Telangana state government is elated over the successful conduct of the inaugurals of Hyderabad Metro Rail and GES-2017.
The government plans to reward officials and staff who worked for the two events with special increments. The government will host a party at Miyapur or Uppal depot soon for officials, staff and workers Miyapur.
The government feels that the state got international recognition with both these events and more particularly 'Brand Hyderabad got enhanced which will help to attract more global investments.
Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao gave utmost priority to both these events since GES, the world's biggest conclave, being attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and US President’s adviser Ivanka Trump was being held in South Asia for the first time and Hyderabad Metro was the world’s largest public private partnership project.
Since back-to-back inaugurations on the same day were planned and of global and national media would be present. the CM repeatedly reminded officials that any hitch would damage the image of the state, and Brand Hyderabad.
He assigned the special task to IT minister K.T. Rama Rao, Chief Secretary S.P. Singh, DGP P. Mahender Reddy and CMO officials to coordinate with all departments, officials and staff concerned to ensure the events a grand success.
Mr Rama Rao and senior officials toured Metro stations, HICC to oversee the arrangements for the past two weeks and kept all officials and staff on their toes.
The CM congratulated all the departments and officials concerned their committed and united effort and offered to felicitate them and throw a party to celebrate the success of both the events.
