Our universities are good, but not excellent, says M Venkaiah Naidu

He wants our universities to produce 'multi-talented' professionals.

GUNTUR: Vice-President, M. Venkaiah Naidu, stated that there were “good” universities in our country, but no “excellent” universities to compete internationally. He wants our universities to produce “multi-talented” professionals. Venkaiah stressed on the need for universities to turn into dynamic and holistic ‘knowledge centers’ which could compete with world-class universities.

He along with the AP CM, N. Chandrababu Naidu, inaugurated Sarvepalli Radhakrishna and Sarojini Naidu blocks on the VIT (Vellore Institute of Technology) campus at Amaravati on Tuesday. He said that the Vice-President would not attend all the programmes, due to protocol norms, but is seeking the swift development of the state of AP and Amaravati.
