YSRC leaders to meet President over probe
Vijayawada: The YSRC has taken its fight for a third party probe by a central agency into the attack on YSRC chief Y S. Jagan Mohan Reddy to Delhi. Rajya Sabha member V. Vijaya Sai Reddy and former MPs Y.V. Subba Reddy, Mekapati Rajamohan Reddy and P. Avinash Reddy reached Delhi on Sunday to meet President Ram Nath Kovind and Union home minister, Rajnath Singh in the next two days.
“We don’t trust and do not have confidence on the investigation by the AP police as minutes after the attack, the state police and TD leaders started a cover-up. The DGP said that the attacker was a YSRC sympathiser and attacked Jagan to seek publicity which is part of cover up act," Mr Subba Reddy told reporters in New Delhi.
“We suspect senior leaders of the ruling party are behind the attack and we want the truth and facts which will not come out if the state police conducts the investigation. With a demand for a third party probe with any central agency we have come to Delhi,” Mr Subba Reddy said.
