No tie-up with Andhra Pradesh party, says N Uttam Kumar Reddy
Hyderabad: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president N. Uttam Kumar Reddy said the Congress did not have an alliance with any party that belonged to Andhra Pradesh.
Condemning the allegations made by the TRS leaders, Mr Reddy said, “The president of TS Telugu Desam L. Ramana, CPI state secretary Chada Venkat Reddy and Telangana Jana Samiti leader M. Kodandaram belong to Telangana state and they have no relation with Andhra Pradesh. TRS leaders are intentionally saying that the Congress has ties with Andhra parties.”
Addressing party workers at Gandhi Bhavan on Sunday, Mr Reddy said said caretaker Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao had dug his own grave by going in for early elections. “Everyone knows that statehood for Telangana was given by the Congress government. The statements of KCR and his son KTR represent their arrogance,” he said.
Mr Reddy said Mr Chandrasekhar Rao has promised drinking water for the people of Telangana but it was not fulfilled. Mr Rao spent more than Rs 50,000 crore on Mission Bhagiratha said.
He said the state was witnessing a Congress wave. “Once the Congress government is formed, KCR will settle at his farmhouse and KTR will return to America.”
