Hyderabad: A case was booked against Telugu TV anchor Ravi by the SR Nagar police following a complaint from one Sandeep, who alleged that Ravi had abused him over the phone and threatened to attack him over a financial dispute.
According to the police, Ravi had threatened Sandeep that he would hurt him if he failed to repay the Rs 15 lakh he borrowed from Ravi.
“Sandeep is the film distributor of Anchor Ravi’s Telugu debut film, which tanked at the box office on the first day of release.
“Ravi had allegedly lent the said amount to Sandeep on goodwill and is now threatening him to repay the amount,” an officer said.
The SR Nagar police has registered a case and called Ravi to the station for questioning.
“Ravi is currently out of the city for the shooting of a Diwali programme and is said to come back and proceed legally against Sandeep,” concluded the official.
