Bengaluru: High drama prevailed outside Kannada actor Duniya Vijay's first wife Nagarathna's house in Katriguppe on Sunday morning when the police arrived there to arrest her on charges of assault on Vijay's second wife Keerthi Pattadi.
The police waited outside the house for a long time as Nagarathna’s daughter refused to open the door, saying her mother was not home. Later, the police detained Monica for questioning, while continuing their efforts trace Ms Nagarathna, who is absconding.
The Girinagar police went to arrest Nagarathna after a CCTV footage from the cameras installed at Vijay's house where he lives with his second wife Keerthi Pattadi was released and went viral where Nagarathna is seen hitting Keerthi with a slipper.
The footage, believed to be of September 24 when Vijay was arrested for assault on a gym trainer Maruthigowda, was released by Keerthi on Sunday to prove her innocence.
