Focus now on cost of business, says KT Rama Rao

Hyderabad: The focus of the state government has shifted from concentrating on ease of doing business, where Telangana tops, to reducing the cost of doing business and improving the quality of doing business, said caretaker minister K.T. Rama Rao.

Speaking at the inaugural of the Jain International Trade Organisation (Jito) Expo-2018 at Hitex on Friday, Mr Rama Rao said, “All the businessmen in Hyderabad can vouch for the fact that this government has been a great catalyst to improve the business environment not only in the city of Hyderabad but in the entire state.”

Mr Rama Rao spoke about the TS-iPass facility and said that he couldn’t make promises as he was currently a caretaker minister. He said several private and government organisations had recognised Telangana state’s achievements.

“In a state where industrialists had to strike for power supply and power holidays were taken previously, today we proudly say Telangana is the state were businesses are given 24-hour power supply”, he said.

The three-day expo is showcasing a variety of products and will end on September 30.

It has over 400 stalls with 1 lakh sq. ft. spread across three halls.
