V-P in Nellore from Aug. 31 to Sept. 3
Nellore: The Vice-President M. Venkaiah Naidu will tour Nellore district from August 31 to September 3 and take part in several development programmes. It may be recalled that his proposed visit last week was cancelled following the sudden death of BJP senior leader Arun Jaitley.
According to a press release, the V-P will reach Nellore by helicopter from Tirupati on August 31 at 1.40 pm and proceed to his residence. He will travel by a special train to Cherlopalli railway station located on new railway line between Krishnapatnam and Obulavaripalle and inspect the longest tunnel in Asia built for the railway line on August 31.
Mr Naidu, as chief guest, will flag off the new intercity express between Gudur and Vijayawada at Gudur station at 9.30 am on September 1. Later he will inaugurate a two wheeler training centre of Hero Corp at Soma Institute of Technical Training in association with the Swarna Bharat Trust in the premises of Akshara Vidayalaya in Venkatachalam.
He will meet his friends and well wishers over tea on the occasion of the completion of two years in office on Saturday evening between 4.30 pm to 5.30 pm at VPR function hall in Nellore.
He will celebrate Vinayaka Chavithi at his residence and will leave Nellore by helicopter at 8.30 am on September 3.
He will proceed to Tirupati airport and thereafter to Delhi by an IAF special aircraft at 9.15 am.
