TTD takes over Gandi temple

The government had earlier issued orders to merge the temple with TTD on July 31, 2019 with GoM no. 347.

Kadapa: Gandi Veeranjaneya temple was undertaken by the TTD on Wednesday.

The orders were issued and submitted to the authorities at the Gandi temple. It was objected by a devotee Naveen Kumar Reddy, who filed a petition in the High Court.

The government had earlier issued orders to merge the temple with TTD on July 31, 2019 with GoM no. 347. According to the government order, TTD was issued orders to merge the Gandi temple, and the orders were submitted to TTD deputy executive officer Govinda Rajan and estate officer Vijaya Sarathi by Gandi temple assistant commissioner P. Guruprasad on Wednesday.

The Devotee alleged that some of the leaders have been trying to misuse the funds from TTD.

He questioned “How the temple was merged into TTD without the Board’s consent. “Gandi temple has its own funds worth `5 crores. Why should the government take a decision to merge temple with the TTD?” he questioned.

The HC has been issued stay orders on the merger of Gandi Temple with the TTD. Mr Guruprasad said that they did not get any stay order while merging the Gandi Temple with the TTD.

“We have already handed over the temple to the TTD officers. The process has been completed up to 75 per cent,” he said.
