Hyderabad: Protest at Osmania General Hospital over faulty roof

The damaged portions have not been repaired and the iron rods are visible.

Hyderabad: A flash protest was held in Osmania General Hospital on Tuesday over the falling of cement flakes and the failure of the government to address the issue despite the deteriorating situation.

There have been three major incidents in the month of August and two attendants of the patient have been hurt but there is no response from the government. The damaged portions have not been repaired and the iron rods are visible. As a mark of protest the paramedical staff wore helmets inside the hospital as they are not sure when what will fall apart.

Joint Action Committee of OGH stated that the government must seriously look into the dilapidated state of the building and work towards improving the infrastructure to allow the hospital to be functional. The previous incident took place on August 9, when the nursing section on the first floor had cement flakes falling and due to that the section was vacated.
