Raichur: After recently announcing that his grandson Prajwal Revanna would be the JD(S) candidate from Hassan Lok Sabha seat in the 2019 elections, JD(S) supremo H.D. Deve Gowda added to the confusion on Tuesday, expressing his readiness to contest again from Hassan, a seat he had won in 2014.
Interacting with the media at Mantralaya near here after taking part in the 347 Aradhana Mahotsava at the Raghavendra Swamy Matha, Mr Gowda initially declined to discuss politics. However when asked if he had come to Mantralaya to seek the blessings of the Swamiji for better health. He replied, “If the Swamiji blesses me, I will contest the coming Lok Sabha election.” He added, “There is strong pressure on me from workers to contest again. I hope I have the capacity to fight the election. The polls are still about ten months away. Let us see what the Guru desires.”
