Pharma city project: Cheques given to 169 farmers

Speaking on the occasion, the minister said that the government was planning to provide private jobs.

Hyderabad: Minister P. Mahender Reddy on Monday handed over Rs 12 crore cheques as ex-gratia to farmers who lost their lands during the land acquisition for the Pharma City.

The minister along with the local MLA’s Mr Manchi Reddy and Kishan Reddy in the first phase gave cheques to 169 farmers from Medipally, Nakkartha, Nanaknagar, Tadipatri and Kurmidda villages.

Speaking on the occasion, the minister said that the government was planning to provide private jobs and ex-gratia to each of the families that would be dislocated due to the upcoming Pharma City project.
