Scoot Arlines to fly to more tourist destinations

All Scoot flights from India transit in Singapore, before connecting to the above destinations on non-stop flights.

Tiruchy: Scoot Airlines, the low-cost arm of the Singapore Airlines (SIA) Group has identified few more destinations in South East Asia which makes for “fantastic yet affordable getaways”.

A Scoot Airlines press release said at Tiruchy on Sunday that the travelers from India can access the new destinations like Vietnam, Thailand, Jakarta (Indonesia) Langkawi (Malaysia) through low-cost carriers, such as Scoot, from various Indian cities such as Amritsar, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kochi, Tiruchirappalli, and Thiruvananthapuram, with Coimbatore and Vishakhapatnam to join the network soon.

All Scoot flights from India transit in Singapore, before connecting to the above destinations on non-stop flights. Flights to Langkawi and Jakarta operate four times and three times a week respectively, and flights to the other destinations operate daily it added.

The release further said that travelers can explore the famous tourist spots, like colonial buildings and pagodas, the war remnants museum and Independence palace, etc. In Vietnam, the visitors can spend a lazy day on the picturesque railway beach and other interesting locations at Krabi in Thailand.

At Jakarta in Indonesia apart from other places, the visitors can enjoy an old Dutch settlement which is now a space for performances, museums and art galleries. Similarly, at Langkawi in Malaysia, there is a lot of sightseeing spots including the cable car rides in PataiKok or the Underwater World in Langkawi, the release added.

The early bird really does catch the worm - most airlines' flights are made available for booking up to two seasons in advance (that's 12 months ahead) and those who book their flights early usually catch the best prices, the release said.

It advised passengers to opt for airline's loyalty programme as it allows the travelers to convert their trips into miles that can be accumulated and redeemed later. For example, Scoot customers can earn and redeem miles on KrisFlyer, which is a Singapore Airlines Group loyalty programme, it added.
